'Little oak' is a new build property in Attleborough. The garden was a barren, desolate site that was in need of attention. The client's brief was to achieve a low maintenance, single level space, with a contemporary feel.
Porcelain paving was the perfect choice for the bulk of the patio.
We wanted to break up the paving space with the use of the anthracite sets, to frame the patio and lead you towards the back door and create a seamless flow onto the artificial lawn.
Oak planting beds were constructed from railway sleepers, keeping the theme of the house flowing into the garden with the added bonus of a built-in seat. Planting was kept to a minimum and created a low maintenance design.
Lodge farm'
'Lodge farm' is a beautiful 18th century Suffolk farm house. The clients were looking for a timeless feature to enhance the gardens, while maintaining a harmonious link between the 18th century farmhouse and the mature established gardens.
The Keswick blend pavers were the perfect choice for this delightful garden and house. Laid in stretcher bond style, with mitre joints in the corners, they illustrate the high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that 'JH Landscaping' provides.
The paving perfectly complements both the 18th century farm house and the gardens. Like a fine wine this paving will age perfectly and in time it will become an established feature.
Royal Norfolk Show 2019
"Norfolk Delights"
We applied for the Royal Norfolk Show back in December 2018 with the view to build a Norfolk inspired garden.
With Norfolk red brick paving, oak carved pergola and our very own Norfolk broad.
The vision of "Norfolk Delights" was that it wouldn't matter if you lived in a small terrace house or a large Manor House this garden could be placed in each and anything in between.
The garden was created to entice guests whom are seeking freedom from day to day stresses, an ambience of calm and wellbeing set against the backdrop of rustic traditions of Norfolk life.
On awards day we received a silver gilt which we were over the moon with. It was a fantastic experience which as team we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. It was brilliant to build a garden that was purely our own ideas and thoughts.
Wroxham Road
This mid terrace in Norwich was in desperate need of a garden makeover, the long wet winters had taken its toll on the decking area and the lawn was in desperate need of attention.
The decking area was removed and replaced with some fresh light grey sandstone and framed with Brett charcoal setts. With a lovely level run off straight onto the wonderful idol artificial grass. Once again framed in with the Brett charcoal sets. We gave the garden some small oak sleeper beds for minimal planting and also to give the garden a small piece of height. Finished off with Norwegian granite sprinkled around the edges.
We really wanted to bring this out door space together with a single level garden which is low maintained and a clean for the whole family to enjoy all year
